Mobilizing saving for capital formation:-

 the commercial bank help in a mobilizing savings to a network of branch banking. People in developing country have low income but Bank induce (प्रेरित करना) them to save by introduction variety of deposit scheme to suit the need of individual deposit. by mobilizing saving ,the bank channelise them into productive investment. Thus they help in capital formation of developing country


Financing industry:-

the commercial bank finance the industry sector in the number of ways. They provide short term medium term and long term loans to industry. In India the commercial bank undertake short term and medium term financeing of small scale industries,and also provide hire purchase finance. Beside, they underwrite the share and debenture of large scale industries. Those they not only provide finance for industry but also help in developing the capital market which is under developed in such countries.


Financing trade:-

the commercial bank help in financing both internal and external trade. the bank provide loan to retailer and wholesaler to stock the goods in which they deal. They also help in movement of good for one place to another by providing all type of facilities such as discounting and accepting bill of exchange providing overdraft facility ,issue overdraft ,etc.


Financing agriculture:-

the commercial bank help the large agriculture sector in developing country in the number of ways they provide loan to traders in agriculture commodities. they open network of branches in rural areas to provide agricultural credit. they provide finance directly to agriculturists  for the marketing of their product. Mechanisation of there farms, for providing irrigation facility for developing land etc


Financing customer activities:-


People in underdeveloped country being poor and have low income do not possess sufficient financial resource to buy durable customer goods. The commercial bank advance loan to customer for the purchase of such item as houses, scooters ,fans, refrigerators, etc. In this way they also help in raising the standard of living of the people in developing country by providing loan for consumptive activities.


Financing employment generating activities:-

the commercial bank finance employment generating activities in developing country they provide loan for education of young person's studyIng in engineering, medical, and other vocational institutions of higher learning. They advance loan to young entrepreneurs, medical and engineering graduate and other technically trained person in establishing their own business. The bank note only help in human capital formation but also in increasing entrepreneurial activities in developing country.
